Welcome from the Southwest Suburban Dallas chapter. In 1938, Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated was founded on the principle of bringing children together with a focus on strong social and cultural programming. Our chapter consistently strives to embody that principle of programming as well as excel in the areas of chapter operations, financial competency, membership and foundation/community service. With those initiatives at the forefront, the Southwest Suburban Dallas Chapter has through innovative programming and ‘out of the box’ initiatives which will not only carry out the chapter’s legacy to create and build future leaders but also focus our overall mission of service to have a greater impact in our community.
The Southwest Suburban Dallas (SWSD) Chapter plans to continue our reputation of incredible programming with an increased focus emphasized in our new motto “Service to our Community, Supporting Our Children and Sustaining Our Membership”. The solid legacy of programming of our seasoned members combined with the invigorated spirit of our new members will definitely be the powerful equation to fully embrace not only the Jack and Jill national theme: “The Power to Make a Difference” as well as our new South Central Regional theme: “Developing Leadership for the Next Generation” .
It has been fourteen (14) years since Teresa Bright and twenty other charter members blazed the trail to make a difference in the southern sector of Dallas. SWSD strives to make our “difference” by “developing leadership” not only with our children but also amongst our members as we look forward to achieving our 15th year milestone. The Southwest Suburban Dallas chapter of Jack and Jill will continue the exceptional programming and initiatives that we have already started to make a positive impact on our children, our chapter and our community.
Yours in Jack and Jill,
Angela Berry Roberson
